Sorry not to respond sooner. If the ants are fire ants I would recomend contacting a profesional in your area that is familiar with treating zoos or animal labs. I fthese are argentine or one of dozens of other species. This may help. Make up two type of bait. On e with mint apple jelly and one with peanut butter. Mix them both with aprox 5% by volume of boric acid. One half teaspoon boric acid to ten full teaspoons food attractant. Place bait away from animals or keep them from bait. Place as close as you can to the nest. If cannot find nest place food crumbs in trails and follow back to nest. Bait needes to be replaced every 48 hours to keep fresh. Two in sections of fat straws work good as bait stations as well as milk jug caps.
I will follow up when I have more time.
Happy hunting
Brent
: Can Brent the Ant Expert put his recipe back out on the net one more time? Thanks
