YES! Mr. Pronk is so unhappy. :-( Only because because he won't make as much money with other people (other than him) exporting these tortoises. This is and always will be Mr. Pronk's bottom line concern.

Until last year, very limited quantities of both species were exported and in the meanwhile, captive breeding groups were set up at our facilities in Madagascar.


Only so Mr. Pronk could make a lot of money. He did, due to the limited export. Now he stands to lose money on those hatchlings and wild caught animals he intends to export for sale.

These captive breeding groups have started producing small numbers of offspring. My unhappiness has mostly commercial grounds as I rather sell few animals for a lot than many animals for nearly nothing.


See? He admits it himself! I need say nothing more.

Furthermore, I believe Pyxis are not tortoises that should be kept by inexperienced keepers.

So, why then does Mr. Pronk then export them to anyone who can afford to pay the price? Any inexperienced keeper can be wealthy.

Greedy, greedy, greedy!
