Don't get fanatical. One argument for this is that the animal needs to build it's own immune system (within reason.)
How does a tort build up an immunity to worms? And so many illnesses are invisible until it's too late.
: To answer your question, if it is doing well and there is no reson for you to suspect something is wrong, enjoy. (if it anit broke don't fix it).
I respect EJ's opinions, but if for no other reason than to protect your 'investment' (tort), I would suck it up and spend the $45 every year for the standard vet look-over and fecal check. I vaccinate my dogs against rabies, even though they're fenced in, because I don't want to take the slightest chance of a life-threatening illness. Overkill? Maybe to some.
It's a personal decision. But, I do respect others' opinions and decisions. This is my opinion only.
