i'd check her pen again! i thought i lost mine but she had burrowed down a ways. if not there, check close to home, she probably found some good diggable dirt and burrowed. they love to do that! i wouldn't be too sure that people aren't afraid of them! my large one escaped and made it out to a busy street, instead of grabbing her and bringing her back, my neighbor came and got us. she got really close to being hit! i think he wasn't sure if she would bite or not! i'm just glad we got to her in time! of course, my husband had to throw himself in front of a car to grab her! we had a really tight enclosure for her, but she found a weak spot and escaped. it can happen to the best of us! good luck! sonja
