Jake,
I am in Michigan and currently house 4 sulcatas. My largest was 2lbs. 6oz. last May and now he is 9 lbs. 8 oz. If fed well they have an incredible growth rate. I expect Bull to be 30 lbs. by this fall. They are happiest in dry, hot temps. I plan on putting mine outside as soon as the weather is at least 75-80 degrees. I will also provide a dog house with a heat lamp hanging within it to give them an area that is 100 degrees. These torts can not tolerate wet, damp weather. They are prone to respratory infections if not kept warm enough. My 4 torts eat 12 1/2 oz. of fresh greens/veggies per day, plus Mazuri tort diet. They are expensive to keep. If you do not have the space, money or time consider a smaller tort.
Good luck, Cindy
