If you can provide some natural graze, your tort will love you for it.
If you don't have a yard area to plant, you can plant pasture mix in shallow pots or trays and feed from there.
Annie Lancaster sells a very good pasture mix at her site - www.turtlestuff.com
If you are going to feed grocery products stick with dark leafy greens.
Avoid things like spinach, cabbage, chards, brocoli, fruits, and beans - they all have some negative aspects to them...high in oxalic acid or other elements.
Small amounts of them in a highly varied diet will not kill your tortoise, but they should not be a main staple of the diet.
Also note that parsley is a natural laxative to torts.
