Mic, There is no reason to 'stay away' from supermarket foods. Natural fare might be better for your animal but there is no real evidence to support this. If you do go with store bought greens you want to look for the dark green leafy type veggies and of course carrot. Stay clear of spinach or use it very spareingly. Don't bypass the garnishes such as the parselys and such. What you want to focus on is dark green and variety. If you have access to the more natural fares go with that but by all means don not kill yourself over it.
