: Well stupid me did it. I have no one to blame but myself. I was checking on one of my eggs in the incubator when I noticed mold growing on the shell. I removed the egg cleaned the old vermiculite out, mixed in a new batch and placed the egg back down again. I took out my (not so trusty) paintbrush and started to clean the mold off the shell. All of a sudden i noticed the egg starting to ooze. The egg fluid smells fine Can I put super-glue on the cracked section? Or am I doomed HELP!!!!!!!!!
i've had snake eggs leak on me more than once. i just placed a small piece of paper towel (solid white, ink in the patterned ones may be dangerous) on the hole. the towel soaks up the ooz and then dries creating a clot. i haven't lost a oozing egg yet with this method, but these were snake eggs, so i can't say for sure it will work on tort. eggs.
good luck,
steve
