Hi,
I have seen a lovely tortoise at a local reptile house. They seem very knowlegeable and I have a question. The tortoise they call a Bell's Hingeback looks nothing like the photo I saw at: http://www.tortoisetrust.org/care/ckinixys.html
What I saw was a very plain, sort of elongated carapace, that was narrower than it was long (similar to a box turtle)with none of the humps I see in the pic at the page above. I am concerned it is not a Bell's, and because they seem to have different needs than the other hingebacks, I am concerned about how to care for it.
Is there a way to positively identify it as a Bell's or some other Tortoise?
Thanks a Ton!
