:I think that Sulcata Tortoises can take colder temperatures than most people think. Deserts tend to be cold at night. And I'veread that Sulcatas are often seen grazing on really warm nights. This implies that on cold nights they are in their burrows. There for if you give them shelter, they should be able to whithstand chilly temps at night. I'm not suggesting that you freeze your poor tortoises every night. But I do think that sometimes we worry to much about the minor things instead of enjoying our tortoises to the fullest.
