This is why I recomend against hibernating until enough experience is obtained to really understand what is going on. Contrary to what many say it is not a simple task and places your pet at unnecessary risk.
To answer your question though, there is no substitute for sunshine. It works miracles. Try to get the animal in an outdoor enclosure. Make sure it can get into shade. Even then watch it closely because tortoises get to a certain point where they sit out in the sun even when there is shade 2 inches away and cook to death.
Find the one thing it likes and feed it that for starters (except spinach) then slowly add other stuff in a chopped up mix. Make sure it is well hydrated. Soak it daily.
