Kira, Look close to see if at the apex of the chip it is split. That is the beak has a 'grain' like in wood that runs up and down. If it splits along the grain down to the root it will never become one piece again. If a split is noticed it needs to be trimmed to remove the split if possible. If you are not familiar with this take it to a vet to be sure it is not split. Heading this off now can save you a massive vet bill later. This is the worse thing that can happen when a beak gets chipped.
: My leopard has a chip missing out of the bottom portion of his "beak". He does not seem to have any other symtoms. The chip is very noticible but he is eating fine. There is no wound of any kind. It looks like it just broke off. Any suggestions?? He 1.5 years old. Captive bred. I have had him since he was 2 weeks old. I hope that is enough info.....
