Hi, it's good to see a pet shop guy looking for correct info..very refreshing! I've attached a link below to a Hingeback Care Sheet on the Tortoise Trust website. Any addition info you might need, feel free to email me privately at zooglet@yahoo.com. Bells (Kinixys Belliana) is one of 4 sub-species of Hingebacks. They are the most popular I guess in pet trade and also the species that tolerates a drier environment. I see many pet shops housing sulcata and hingebacks together. Remember, hingebacks require a warm, humid and low-lit environement. I'd recommend housing alone or only with other hingebacks. I'd say to house them on slightly damp cypress mulch or sphagnum moss. There is also "jungle mix" substrate put out by a company that might work. Mist the tank twice per day to keep it humid...I'd recommend also soaking every few days in addition to the misting. Hingebacks are omnivorous so you can include some fruit, greens and insects such as snails, superworms, wax worms (crickets but they might be hard for the tortoises to catch). The care sheet details out fairly well the feeding. I'd also recommend printing out the care sheet to give to the eventual buyer of this tortoise. Good luck!
