A good place to post this question is the
e-groups Tortoise Trust discussion group. Several keepers there have experience dealing with this.
Russians can be carriers but not show any symptoms and pass it along to your other torts.
Some on a list I am on suggest not adding new Russins to an established collection of Russians due to this fact.
They suggest getting all the Russians you want at once and not even mix groups of Russian with each other since so many seems to be carrying herpes or other viruses.
