What kind of tortoise? For the time being leave it alone. You can also carefully place the in a tea cup with some moistened paper towel. Place this in the incubator until it leaves the egg. Better yet if you can get an 8 oz deli cup and lid do the same thing. When it leaves the egg remove the shell if the yolk sac is still present so the shell does not cut the sac. Leave the tortoise in the moist container for a few days or until the shell flattens out on the plastron. You have a week or two before you have to worry about feeding. Then you need to consider the type of tortoise to continue.
