I do know that tortoises have died after eating Daffodils.
This info was posted on the Tortoise Trust list maybe a year ago.
Daffodils are highly toxic to torts, so I would never plant them anywhere near the tortoises area.
I guess if they would eat toxic daffodils they would also nibble on other toxic plants.Better safe than sorry I think.
