It is always difficult to guess how long it will take wild caught tortoises to aclimate and lay eggs. Some adult tortoises take several years before they lay eggs, others lay within weeks of being imported.
It will likely be at least one or two years before your Russians lay eggs, but who knows. Diet, temps, health, etc. all play a part. Good luck.
