Depending were you live you probably can get seed much cheaper at a feed store or garden center. However, it won't be the mix like you order. You will either have to buy a bag of a single seed or several bags of different seeds and make your own mix. I happen to live were bermuda grass grows like weeds and that is the staple of my sulcatas diet and she is growing with nice smooth shell growth. You really won't need much seed for an 8' by 3' foot space but you will need to re-seed every month or so if that is your tortoises only area to eat. A pound of seed I would think could seed an area that size about 6 times but I am just guessing.

: I went to Turtle Cafe today to look at some of the grazing mixes, but they are incredibly expensive! Half a pound of a weed grazing mix, with the special, is still 40 bucks! How many seeds do I need to plant an 8' x 3' enclosure?
