There are a lot of problems with forums:
1) Little valuable information - I've found
it better to get a book. Most of the info on these forums (Kingsnake (torts and other), TT, etc.) is the same basic beginner level stuff. And lots of it seems questionable to down right awful.
2) The pathetic interpersonal rivalries. I barely read the TT forum. Some poor uninformed person asks the wrong question and they go at him like a pack of hyenas. And this forum - OY! Sadly I've participated in a couple incidents. People really don't know how to behave on the web.
So I just check out for a few weeks/months/permanently and try again later or not at all.
Back to the books. Or other non-forum web sources. Info without all the noise.
