Dry face is very common in sulcatas--don't put anything on their faces! (They are native to Africa -- very hot & arid.) Also, be aware that when the weather gets real warm, their eyes may appear to water and the areas around the eyes will be wet. This is normal. When your temp gets high, the best (and funnest) thing to do is to turn the sprinkler on in your yard, letting it run, and the sulcatas will 'take a shower' and find a 'puddled' area, and if you're lucky, may use their front legs to flip water, mud, wet grass, etc. onto their backs to cool down. It's a hoot to watch! The russians enjoy the sprinklers too!
