Two of my spiders laid eggs a couple weeks ago. One laid under a pile of dry grass, the other laid at the bottom of some tall, thick burmuda grass. They have what I thought was a perfect dirt area for laying, but they obviously found areas that they preferred.
I don't know if this is typical but they didn't choose to dig and bury their eggs they just laid eggs in the locations where they burrowed into the grass.
I too would be interested in others experiences.
