Hi Joe,
absolutely no animal protein, no meats, dog food, mealworms etc Russians are strict herbivores.
You also want to avoid veggies such as peas, beans etc, way too high in protein too.

The Feeding tortoises article should help you quite a bit.
Adding edible flowers and weeds to the greens is great, such as hibiscus flowers, dandelions.

A variety of leafy greens such as endive, romaine, turnip greens, escarole, collards......
is an okay diet mix in a small amount of carrot, squash etc.
But outdoors in an enclosure with plenty of proper
edible landscaping is much better.
If you have a yard, consider a large outdoor enclosure for the summer months.

No spinach, chard, bok choy, or iceburg lettuce.

No fruits either for Russian torts.
But you've read the article now, so 'm sure you have a better idea of what to feed.
