Beg to differ here.
It is not strictly a matter of convenience for me.
It would be much easier to keep a bowl in the enclosures.
The harm, as I mentioned in previous post is, many people, including myself, observe runny stools in sulcata given constant access to free standing water *and* a green diet.
Sulcata and other *arid* species of tortoise do not normally encounter free standing water every day in the wild. Their system is designed for intermittant, inconstant supplies of water.
It has been suggested, although I do not have the references handy, that too much water too soon can be detrimental. (Overworking a delicate kidney system)
