: You also need to take the tortoise to a qualified vet for a check up and fecal test for internal parasites. This is an *absolute must* for any newly aquired Russian tortoise.
Ok, It's in a 20 gal Aquarium right now, but it's going into a rubbermaid this weekend. I have a heat lamp on him, and hopefully UV this weekend. The subsrate is a mix of bark chips, and bed a beast. It's the consistency of damp dirt. I have tried to feed a mix of Kale, Collard, and Romaine Greens. Thanks for all of your advice.
