I know he's a big tort, but try soaking him a couple times a week until you see the urates back off a bit. How I gage my soaking on my 50 pounderer, is if I see the urates in the yard increasing, I soak him for a few days until they back off. This way I'm sure he's hydrated because he will not drink water. I've noticed in my husbandry that if you soak them everyday you will get little to no urates, and if you soak them once a week you will see them alot more ( in my personal experience). The reason I make sure I do this is my breeder had a client that never soaked hers, and was doing the same thing yours was but never passed it. She drove him to Gainsville Florida from Virginia and the xrayed and he was all stoned up, they had to operate. You got a break right now and I would follow up on it, maybe you vet can treat any remaining with medication.
