I know he's a big tort, but try soaking him a couple times a week until you see the urates back off a bit. How I gage my soaking on my 50 pounderer, is if I see the urates in the yard increasing, I soak him for a few days until they back off. This way I'm sure he's hydrated because he will not drink water.
