Chase,
If you buy one from a pet store ask for a feeding demonstration. Places like Petsmart feed the Dole spring mix and will be happy to feed them before you make up your mind. Just ask. They'll want the sale, and will give you a 14 day guarantee. Its not much, but its better than lets say buying from an online vendor who tells you it eats but it really doesn't. Wild caught is always a gamble, but its considerably less of a gamble if they show you that it is eating.
: Okay, here's the deal. I've read that Russians are very social animals, and they prefer NOT being alone.. so. Spring Break starts today (whoohoo!!) and my girlfriend and I are on our way to Houston (I hate the 3 hour drive) to visit my parents for a few days. While I'm there, I'm going to pick up a Reptisun 5.0 and I thought about grabbing a new Russian from Petsmart or someplace in the greater houston area. Is this a good idea? Is this a good place to get one? Should I get a female so Sampson can flirt? (haha) I also plan on buying a huge rubbermaid thingy that they can live in. I'd like to know your thoughts, especiall yours, Terry.
