Chase,
if you want another Russian here's what I suggest.
Get a female, the healthiest looking one you can find. From a pet store or a reputable dealer, or adopt through Turtle Homes.
But don't put the two of them together yet.
Get a rubbermaid (nothing too expensive)and the 5.0 and set up a habitat for the new tortoise.
Keep Sampson in his tank for the time being with no contact between the two.
This is so any desease or worms etc the new tortoise might have, won't be passed to Sampson.
As you did with Sampson take the female(how's Delila for a name!) to the vet for check up, deworming etc.
Keep the two separate for a couple of months, you should always quarantine any new tortoise from any you already have.
During the quarantine period make an enclosure, either a tortoise table or something like Niki made for Teddy her sulcata. Something big enough for two tortoises that offers the female escape and peace and quiet from the male.Lots of room for roaming around etc.
You can make a very large enclosure faily cheaply, but it will last for years and be bigger and better than a Rubbermaid.
