they really won't be happy in a tank. at least provide a small kiddie pool or as large of a rubbermaid or wooden cage as you can. they love to burrow and climb and are quite active. they like it between 70 and 85. they need a place they can bask and one where they can cool down and burrow. i wouldn't soak them quite that often. i only soak my russians about once a week. they don't like to be wet. their outside enclosure in quite large and they are quite rambunctios! the bigger the area the better for a russian even though they are somewhat on the smaller end of the tort scale! good luck. sonja
