I am a brand new Russian Tortoise owner, living in New Jersey, and I wanted to see if anyone could help me out with some information (I want to make sure I am doing things right!). First, is it OK for them (I have two) to live in a 30 gallon terrarium on bark chips, or should they live on sand, or something else? Do they need to go outside much? Should they be kept under a warming light? UV? If so, how long (all the time, or just a couple of hours?). Do they need to hibernate, and can they/should they do that in the terrarium? How do I facilitate the hibernation? Do they need much water (I was told to soak them for 10 minutes or so every other day?). I think I have a male and a female, not sure of age. Should I expect eggs, and how to handle? Thanks!!! Doug
