Hi Christine.
I have linked some box turtle info below, be sure to check out the diet info.
While the author does recommend some red meat and dog food, she states it should only be fed occasionly.
Personaly I don't feed these foods to my box turtles.
If you do feed them it should only be on aocassion, not every meal and the dog food should be low fat.
I would not feed hamburger meat at all.
These are foods recommended for a box turtle. The diet is too high in fat and protein for a yellowfooted tortoise. So to avoid her eating the boxies food I would either sepearate the species, or keep her away from the box turtles at feeding time.
This is one of the reasons mixing turtles and tortoises of different species is not recommended.
There is always the risk of cross contamination, which can prove fatal. But the diet and environmental needs also differ from species to species.
Both box turtles and yellowfoots do need high humidity so they are similar in that regard.
But the dietary needs and risk of cross contamination are both something to consider. The URL below will take you to the Tortoise Trust's FAQ and the question of mixing species.

Once again hope this helps,
Terry
