russians are very active. need a lot of burrowing and climbing room. seem to not like it as warm as other tortoises. they like mustard greens, dandelion greens, squashes, carrots, cactus, grasses and clover and many other disgustingly healthy foods! they eat quite a bit. always happy to see me coming with the food dish. keep them VERY dry. no humidity at all. they have a huge enclosure outside and they still are asking me to please renovate their home and expand! they are very personable. note: new ones often arrive with worms, have him checked. good luck. sonja
