Yes I have light and a heat source. His eye seems ok and there is just a little scab, I rinsed it off with water when I came home. I'm sure he'll be fine, in the wild they get hurt and their injuries heal on their own, but I do realize that if it starts bleeding or if his eye starts to look funny he will go to the vet ! Money isn't the issue, I just want my tortoise to be ok ! =)

: The setup sounds adequate...do they have a basking source and a UVB source of light? About the cut...is it deep and open and oozing? If not and it is just a scrape, I'd just wash it gently with water (no soap as it's close to the eye) and see if it scabs over..if it isn't healing quickly a quick vet trip might be in order. If the vet knows they are rehabs..he/she might cut you a break on price.
