Here is a little more fuel for your fire...

All the suckers... oops, I mean people out there who have been buying the Spider tortoise species may or may not know this. But, this is 100% truth. The VAST majority of the Spiders brought in so far have been held by the importers long enough for oxytocin (sp?) injections, egg deposition (if any) and then shipped to you the happy, ignorant consumer. This is not BS, it's simply the state of normal activity in the industry we all support in some form or fashion. If I piss anyone off with the truth being known, too bad. I found out long ago and I think people are entitled to know. So, any new owners will be lucky to have any reproductive success in the near future (next two to four years) in my book, but that is only an opinion. Save your $$$ and buy from legit private breeders who document their success and failures 100%. I could go on and on, but will stop here. I hope the truth hurts... These tortoises also hurt.
