Hi all... I have yet, another question regarding calcium for tortoises. I was wondering, what is better for tortoises as far as calcium that is sold in powder form in the pet - stores...is calcium from Egg shells better, or is cuttle bone fish better, or Oyster shell ?
I am asking this, cause I have been using Rep - Cal...and the source of calcium are oyster shells, but I have been told that they can have lead or kadmium in them, which if it accumulates in the tortoise, it can cause harm to the tortoises.
Anyone can commment or give suggestions about this?
Thanks, Miguel.
