Why do two people with identical diets and habits gain wheight differently? Could tortoises also not be clones? could this explain why the larger the group studied, the more accurate the findings?
Is this why anectdotal results can be misleading?
Can this explain why my spelling stinks?Tune in next time for the answers.
: : :I'm going to give my opinion again, and hopefully people aren't going to get too sick of me. If you read between the lines of what everybody says about pyramiding you will see a pattern. Rapid growth with inadequate calcium is the problem. Protein causes rapid growth...Higher temps speeds the metabolism and this causes rapid growth. And it is possible that two identical tortoises may have differing metabolic needs causing one to experience pyramiding and the other one not to.

: I concur with your opinion 100%.
: The "humidity" argument just does not make biological or scientific sense. If anyone has genuine data, or real evidence to the contrary - please do state your reasoning, e.g., how can ambient humidity (or lack thereof)directly or indirectly cause fibrous osteodystrophy?
