Hi Miquel,
if you can actualy see the tiny worms in the stools then the infestation may be quite severe.
I suspect that the worms you saw are a species of Nematode, these are one of the most common worms found in tortoises.
The Oxyurid species of Nematode , usualy measure less than 4-5mm.

However I'm not a veterinarian, your vet will be able to identify them and treat the tortoise. These worms can cause a lot of discomfort to the infected animal.

Best of luck, hope this helped.
Terry.

: Hi, sorry I forgot to say the following on the last Post. I have actually seen the little worms in my tortoise's stool. They are agout 2 millimeters un length, very thin, they are white in color, and when my tortoise pooped, there were LOTS of them. Do these sound like worms, or flukes?

: Niki, I noticed that you answered to a couple of posts that had to do with worms, so I hope that you can read this post and help me out. I am asking cause I want to learn about this de - worming business. I do have an appointment to see a vet this Wednesday, but would very much appreciate any comments or information that you can give me or direct me to.

: Thanks again, Miguel.
