Maybe you did get your "idea" from a book but do you have any actual personal experience to back it up? It can take longer than a few months before pramiding and other health problems become obvious.
So what you really believe then is that heat ( habitat temperatures) are responsible for pyramiding, as you read in the book?
There are other types of shell deformities besides pyramiding,.
