I hope you did some sort of research before you acquired these two sulcata. They are not appropriate "apartment pets", I speak from first-hand experience. First of all, you cannot accurately sex hatchling sulcata. Second of all, lettuce and cucumber is a totally inappropriate diet for a sulcata even if you are using store-bought vitamins. You must use calcium supplement not just vitamins even with an appropriate diet...and don't forget a UVB bulb. Third of all, a heating cave is probably TOO much heat. As these "heating caves" are essentially heat rocks with a roof, this heat cave could cause harm to the sulcata with skin and shell burns, I'd remove it from the enclosure immediately. A basking bulb should be your optimal source of heat. At 1.5" long, I'd assume they are only a few months old. Please see my Sulcata Care Sheet for the rest of your information (link below).
