How large is his enclosure?
Are there plenty of plants for him to hide under, hinge backs being forest dwellers actively dislike
bright light.
So make sure there is plenty of shade, bushes and plants and long grass for hiding in.
Provide a nice leaf pile in a shady area, just rake up any dried leaves and pile them in a shady corner of the enclosure.Leaves are great for hiding in, and attract tasty bugs for munching on.
If torts can see out they want out, so a very good idea to make sure that you have a wooden or other type of barrier that the tort can't see through.
Hope this helps,
Terry.
: My new forest hingeback is taking well to his enclosure but he keeps ending up on his back....This is the third time in the past few days? Of course I flip him back over but is there something wrong....He seems to try to climb the lower branches and thats when this happens.....Any one else have an upside down tort??? (or is this more serious?) any help would be greatly appreciated......
: Thanx
