Someone lied to you. Parasites can exist in the digestive tract with no outwardly visible signs. The best way to determine if your tortoise has parasites is to take a fecal sample to a vet. For example, I had a Bell's hingeback that was eating fairly well and had regular bowl movements without signs of worms, but the fecal came back positive for pinworms. Pinworms are very common in reptiles, and Asians can come in loaded with parasites.

: 1. The dealer said he got her in October had she has eaten for him.
: 2. I never saw worms in her stool and Fred (Fred's Pets) told me parasitic worms would be visible to the naked eye.
