Dan, you posted a few days ago about breeding Sulcata tortoises..I'm not sure if that was for your own information or just curiosity. Now you post asking if a 20-gallon tank is all a Russian tortoise would need...I know this is an informational forum, but it sounds like you need to do a lot more research before getting the eventual tortoise. Even reading one good caresheet would tell you that an aquarium environment is not suitable for really any tortoise, including a Russian. Past posts on this forum will tell you that as well. Even Dave agrees on this issue, so I feel we can all vote a resounding NO to it-LOL! A Russian tortoise is a hardy and personable tortoise, PROVIDED they have the proper setup. There is much information out there, start reading or reading more...nobody is saying not to ask questions, but reading articles and care info will give you the basics, and it sounds like the basics are just what you need.
