I've been using these going on 4 years. I've got 5 bulbs in operation on 12 hour cycles. I've replaced one bulb after the first year. All the bulbs are still putting out UV.
This particular bulb has been around forn close to 15 years. Lizard people have been using them for that long. The only studies done are on the blood of some monitors. The results of that study shows that there was a remarkable increase in the component that controls calcium metabolism. Now I get the feeling these bulbs being marketed in Fla are the same thing.
