Miguel,
Miner-All comes in two versions I (Indoor) and
O (Outdoor) depending on whether the animals
get outside or not as to which one to use.
Miner-All however is designed ONLY to be dusted
on insects or pink mice and not on vegetables/greens
or other food items. Also it is simply that
minerals (hence the name miner-all) all the minerals
that INSECTIVOROUS reptiles need. It does not
provide vitamins. I use this product alternately
to dust crix. and other insects for my geckos.
For tortoises I would suggest using Rep-Cal (brand)
of "Herptivite" and also "phosphorous-free Calcium
with VitD" also by Rep-Cal (brand).
Yes they are designed to be used together as mixing
them negates some of the effects if stored mixed
for a long time. Get one small container of each
and mix them and dust lightly over food occasionally.
(I do it about once a week and Ted is outside most
of the time now - in the winter I do it almost 2-3
times a week.) The amount to use is equivalent of
a head of a matchstick. Just a pinch.
Of course you can try the cuttlebone too, but
this way you know they're getting it. niki
