You shouldn't mix your sulcata with any other tortoises or turtles. If outdoors, regular topsoil is fine, I'd steer clear of cypress mulch
for the sulcata, it's moisture-holding and is not necessary. Make sure the enclosure is well-planted with safe things..visit the Turtle Cafe
for not only graze mix and plants for your tortoise enclosure, but links and information on safe and toxic plants that you need to be on the lookout
for. Don't count on the sulcata to "know" what is safe to eat..mine tries to eat tinfoil and styrafoam if that gives you any insight into their safety
