want to fess up to collecting tortoise/turtle things???
Found some beautiful tortoises from South Africa and
Mexico this week in another state. Mosaic shells on ceramic. I'm trying
to keep all the tortoise stuff in the piano studio and
underneath my grand piano, one sneaked into the bedroom
because it was really nice. Outside there are only 3, and
my poor mother was walking from her van towards me,
sitting on the porch and almost jumped out of her skin when
she SAW Teddy (real Sulcata) walking around grazing! Of course it was a
tad sneaky of me because I knew she didn't see him and
was talking to her until she got close enough.

Speaking of Teddy, he's doing good on the aspen/Lizard Litter (Kenaf
Plant) substrate and two huge piles of hay to mess around in.
I'm relieved to be off of the rabbit pellets because of the
awful weight (70 pounds in his 8 ft. enclosure) and dust. The
aspen is not noticable (I use 4 bags in my Kingsnakes enclosure
and never smell it), and looks nice.

There's a reptile show coming up in NC so I'll go and just
look around. I'm trying to get enough pics. taken to put some
new ones of Ted up. niki
