: Does anyone else here have a Russian Tortoise because it doesn't seem like there is too much information about them on the web and was looking for some suggestions about what to feed them and what kind of things tortoises like in their cages.

I have a russian tort, and I lake to feed him assorted leafy greens(no iceberg lettuce)occasional fruits and generally any type of vitamin rich vegetables. My tort really likes broccoli. As for what they like in their cages, russians are diggers, afairly deep loose layer of substrate is a must. I usually like to pile some hay and grasses at one end of the enclosure so that he can burrow. Also a good hiding spot is nice, I use a hollowed out log for him to hide in.
