Hi All,

Turtle Homes just launched its latest effort, the Asian Species Breeding Loan Program. This is something we put together in collaboration with other herp societies and turtle/tortoise organizations to help prolong the dwindling asian populations by captive propogation and breeding colonies. In order to be considered for this, there is a screening process. Please visit the website for more information. Even if you are just intersted in the plight of the Asian turtles/tortoises, this will be an interesting read for you. We are pleased to announce that our co-coordinator and veterinary consultant on this project is Dr. Barbara Bonner of The Turtle Hospital in Massachusetts. We are also in the process of updating and adding to this website so it is a work in progress at this point.

If you are interested in adopting any other species of turtles and tortoises, please visit our main site, Turtle Homes at www.geocities.com/turtlehomes. You will need to fill out an adoption application there. Feel free to join one of our listservs...links on our main page. There is a busy one with interactive discussions but if you are have little time online there is also an "Announcement Only" list where we post our bi-monthly newsletter and any other important announcements.

If you have a turtle or tortoise that needs a new home, please contact us. We have a long long list of screened applicants waiting to adopt various species. There is no fee at this time to adopt any turtle or tortoise...and there is no fee to use our services to adopt out your own turtle or tortoise.

If you would like to lend a hand and volunteer for one of our many projects, please get involved! We are now located in the US, the UK, Canada, and soon to be in Asia. No matter where you live, there is always something you can do to help :)
