Ed,
How much Mazuri are you giving your torts? My Redfoots are getting it 1x/week and my Stars and Russians 1x/two weeks. Growth looks good, so far. You've definitely sold me on the hydration aspect in the bumpy shell enigma.

: The main factors I push are heat, hydration, and a varied diet. Your soaking schedule is good provided you stick to it. The heat should have a range of 75 to 100. That is it should be 75 at the cool end of the enclosure and 100 at the warm end. Night time temperatures should not drop below 80. For the diet I suggest mixing it up as much as you possibly can with dark leafy greens, avoiding spinach. Although they are grazers the youngsters (2 years and under) seem to prefer greens.
: I've also found that feeding this Mazuri tortoise diet seems to put on some very nice smooth growth growth if fed with the above diet.
