Hi
Living too in an place where they come from (to be exactly Mallorca) mainly keeping T.h.hermanni (but also some T.h.bs), (of which 6year old males have produced offspring!!
same with a 9 year old girlie, all lifing on a 1000sqm natural Plot all the year round. Weight is actually quiet delicat!,becaus due to over and wrong feeding its is a inaccurate as Lenght!
: Hi,
: Thanks for the explaining, but I think that when someone buy a Hermann, it is rarely hermanni hermanni and near to always hermanni boettgeri.
: What are you saying? At 6-9 years! I live in Europe, where this species is coming and I never heard of a specimen that reached sexual maturity at 6 years!!! I personnaly have 6 adult females and 3 adult males. I breed them till 5 years and had more than 150 babies. The oldest "babies" aren't near to reach sexual maturity before 10 years, but the problem I told was that it depend on the enclosure, care, ... and that it is better to give a weight than a year for sexual maturity.
: I'm also not a beginner : I keep Hermann's till 10 years in the right climate (I live where they are coming). Never an overgrowth, ... and the female that became mature the earliest was only after 12 years!!!
: Regards
