respiratory infection

: I've recently acquired a redfoot tortoise with a respiratory infection. I brought her into the vet and he put her on Chorpalm for 10 days. It helped at the time then about 6 months later she started wheezing again. So the vet put her on the same med again. It's a few months later and she's wheezing again. I live in Alberta Canada which is very dry. Should I be increasing her humidity or trying other medications? The vet here admitted he wasn't very familiar with tortoises so I don't know if he put her on the appropriate med or not. Unfortunatly I can't find a vet here with much knowledge because redfoots aren't very common here. : Any suggestions would be great on medications and also humidity levels. : 'Big Red' is female and approx. 19 years with a great and sometimes stubborn personality and a humongous appetite (which she has never lost). : Also, what would be a recommended substrate for a redfoot? : Feel free to e-mail me!!! : Thanks and greatly appreciated
